Table of contents
This release is a development release of SWars, this means that the game is not yet finished. Feel free to play around with the contents of this release and if you find some way to improve it, please contribute your improvement back so that others can enjoy it. Your contribution will be greaty appreciated.
This release contains the following components:
A Java 2 Runtime Enviroment (JRE) is needed to run this software. Any version from 1.2 or later should work, but version 1.3 will work the best. You can get a copy of a JRE for Linux, Solaris or Windows from Sun's Java site or your favorite vendor. Sun has links to other ports for other opertaing systems available from the Java site as well.
A Java 2 Software Developemnt Kit (J2SDK) is needed for SWars development. A J2SDK can usually be obtained from the same source as the JRE. Note that a JRE is usually included with the Java 2 SDK's, so if you have a copy of a J2SDK already installed, you don't need to download a JRE. Again, v1.3 will work better than v1.2, but is not required.
